i finally got a CHI.
my girl LaQuan (yes!) used one on me when i was in ATL, and when my hair was completely chemical-free. it made my hair look weave-fresh. since it became THE flat iron to have a few years ago, it’s since been deemed overrated (they now sell the original model at Target) and other flat irons have been developed by other companies that cost less, and supposedly work better. i managed to get mine for like $51 online. anywho, it’s pretty bomb. check it:

i’m so fucking nervous right now. between refreshing the huff-post every 5 minutes, screaming at elisabeth hasslebeck through my computer, and chaining marlboros, it’s safe to say im a paranoid liberal mess. i got to learn to be more like these awesome cholas. they’re all not-giving-a-fuck ‘i got this’. i’m jealous.
this is a picture of my cousin steph and i at some party. may even be at my parent’s wedding reception. my folks didn’t opt for the shot-gun thing. they married when i was 5. i was the flower girl, and because of this i nearly ruined my parent’s wedding. in retrospect, maybe i was trying to save them, but thats totes another blog entry.
